Nathan earned his bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1991.  In that same year he established Dragonspade, A Sculpture and Design Studio.

At Dragonspade we have created work for our customers homes, schools, churches, museums, hospitals, and cemeteries throughout the Midwest.

The Dragon represents the knowledge, the energy, and the strength needed to create.  The Spade presents us with the tools necessary to accomplish this successfully.  Just as the spade parts the earth to receive the seed, so the gouge parts the wood so that beauty within may be released.

All of Nathan's professional and personal experiences have combined to make him a well rounded designer and sculptor who understands the many aspects of design, form, and the function they follow.
